Cosmetics Review!

Today I wanted to give you guys a review on a couple cosmetics I picked up the other day at Sephora. Now I know things tend to be a lil pricey there, but I wanted to try nice makeup for once and see how I liked them :3

The first item is Hello Flawless! Oxygen Foundation. It's pretty nice, but in my opinion, not for the price. It $36.00 USD and to be frank, its like any normal foundation you can pick up from your local CVS. Another thing I'm not a huge fan of is that I cant use a makeup sponge with it. I like using sponges just cause they give even coverage and they make the makeup more evenly distributed so it just has an all around lighter feel. Apparently, this makeup is supposed also give a plumping effect to your face? I didn't even know that when I bought it, but apparently its supposed to; anyways, it doesn't really. Mainly it's just has both vitamin C and E oils to help hydrate your skin and prevent signs of aging, which may be nice but I'm only 21 and I don't get much sun so all of that isn't very important to me...yet, anyways!
Second item is High Beam by Benefit and omggg I LOVE this product. Its a highlighter and you only use a lil dab on your cheekbones and brows and it works SO well! You barely have to use any and theres so much so I know it'll last me so long, so I'm very happy about it. It is $26.00 USD, but honestly, for how well it works and how long it will probably last, the price is definitely worth it :)
So for the third product, I've actually been using this for a couple months but I just wanted to include it! This is Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector by Clinique, and I really like it and it does work, but the only downside is you have to use it once in the morning and once at night for any results, and even after that, it takes like 3 weeks to show. The cooling tip helps if you have really puffy eyes in the morning, but other than that, it's kind of an awkward applicator. I say this because it spreads around the product so much that it doesn't really help with actually rubbing in. The price is $49.50 USD online, but that doesn't seem right... from my memory, I remember it being around $35.00 or so. It works, but its kinda tedious and plus if you even stop for a little bit, you're right back to square one and I just don't see it as very worth the price.
Last and certainly not least, is the Make Up Forever, HD Powder. I've used this product before, just the loose powder rather than the pressed. I got the bigger size of it last time, and it lasted me nearly a year, even with it being a powder. I prefer loose powder in general to pressed, but I wasn't trying to break the bank so I decided to just get the small pressed powder that is usually found in the little stands near the checkout lines. I forget the price, and online it says the cheapest one is $22.00 which also doesnt seem right, but I know it was really cheap. I like this product cause its a good setting powder, plus it gives a nice sheen as well. It also lasts a really long time, so it's definitely a good investment! I would definitely recommend the large loose powder kind if you have the money for it, its around $50.00 USD or so.

Once again, thanks for reading you guys! If you have any recommendations for me, please let me know! :D

  1. The only foundation I've tried is Colorstay Revlon Foundation, and I think it has crazy good coverage. I've never used primer before, though. Do you recommend a primer? I'm afraid it might block my pores :c

  2. Nice haul!!! I agree that Sephora is a bit pricey, but I just love stepping in there! I'll take your word for the Benefit's High Beam Highlighter, as I never used highlighter in my life so far, hahaha.

If I would recommend a makeup product, I would say get Rimmel's Glam Eye Liquid Eyeliner, it's the best, so precise and yet effectively cheap, too.

Also, LOL, I feel so dumb, but I can't find the follow button for your blog :c and I want to follow!!
