Hey Everyone :) so my last post was about how I became an Au Pair and the process of it all. Today marks my official first week living in Spain and with a Spanish family and my experiences thus far! So, for starters, I think I kinda under estimated the culture shock of it all. I knew the foods, proper etiquette,  and the people would be different, and they are, but I think just the reality of it all will always exceed your imagination.

Being an Au Pair means you live with whomever you're working for; and even though I have my own room...I have anything but privacy. It's not so bad because I'd rather be pushed to leave my shell of introversion, but sometimes it's too much to be around the family all day every day. Especially because the girl I am watching over is so young, she is still sort of in the "terrible twos" stage, even though she is almost four. I definitely underestimated the amount of patience it takes to take care of a child as well. Now, don't take this as me complaining, I love being here, but it's just tough is all. It's really going from 0-100 to start off by being on your own in your own country, to a completely different one surrounded by things you're not used to.

Another thing I underestimated is how lonely I would be! And so quickly! It's not really that I miss being in the United States, I just miss the comfort it provided. I really can't complain too much because I have only been here a week, but I REALLY want friends here already!! I'm not sure how to meet people because I am too shy to go out on my own, so I'm kinda relying on my "Spain Moms" brother to introduce me to people when he comes back in town in a few weeks. I'll have no problem meeting people eventually because I start school the end of August, but thats a long time from now and I just don't want to wait that long :<

Something else surprising is how much the change in food has affected me. I'm constantly bloated and I have no idea why because they eat most of the same foods as us in the states; in fact I'm eating way healthier here than I have in a long time in the States so I'm not sure whats up. Maybe its because I eat a lot of fish now because thats huge here. For starters, its Spain so yeah fish is already big. But, I live on the beach so its even more emphasized as a dish. I'm not sure though. Either way, I feel super sick typing this because I ate so much weird food at lunch like I'm not even sure of half of the stuff I put into my body.

Today I got to hang out with a french Au Pair who is Au Pairing for a family friend of the family I'm living with, and it was so fun because we really could connect and ugh it just sucks because they were here just visiting and they actually live a little over 2 hours away :c I've been noticing lots of americans here lately, but they all seem young and like idiots...plus I didn't come to Spain to lean upon english speakers...ugh! It's just hard because I feel like I don't know enough Spanish to even talk to people and get to know them...so maybe it's really a game of patience.

Another thing!! So I live in a city and theres SO much to do, but because I have literally no one to hang out with yet, I feel very awkward and self conscious. I mean..to be honest, being a tall blond in the middle of Spain, I'm not going to have trouble getting attention. But idk. It's just hard because unless I meet a Spanish person who knows at least some english, I feel like I'm kinda screwed at this point.

Ugh.

This has become more of a rant than an informative post, but maybe it'll show you the reality of culture shock haha. Either way, I know things will get better as I get used to them, but agh! I just can't seem to wait.

Hey everybody! So, as some of you saw, I posted on twitter asking if I should make a blog post about my journey to becoming an au pair for any of you guys that may be interested! I got a few replies, and they all said they know people who also would like to know more about the process, so here I am!
Okay, so for you guys that may not know what an au pair is, its pretty much a live-in babysitter. Here in the States, many people have au pairs come from other countries (I even had one from France when I was very little) because they're cheaper than an actual nanny, and its mainly for late teens-young adults of other countries to come stay in the States practically for free so they can come see America and stuff.
On the other hand, many au pairs from , the States go to other countries to be an au pair to both experience the country and its culture, but also to teach the children of the family english! Since english has become one of the leading languages of the world, au pairs are in high demand to teach kids english at an early age while their brain is in its early development and they can pick up languages quicker. So! In my case, I'm going to both have a blast in Spain (oh yeah! I'm going to Spain for those who don't know already, I forgot I hadn't mentioned where I'll be going yet! whoops >.<) and travel throughout Europe, but also to teach the daughter of the family, Maria, english :) She's so precious and cute, I'm sure you guys will see many pictures of her as I post about my time there.
Here are my tips about looking into being an au pair, and the process it takes!
(remember this is coming from someone who lives in the United States, so parts, getting the visa for example, may not be applicable to those who live elsewhere)

1) To start, you need to know where to look!
For those who live outside of the U.S. and would like to au pair here, I suggest using aupairinamerica.com ! My parents used that agency to get the au pair I had as a kid so I know its trust worthy! As for those who would like to look at other countries across the world, you should use the website I used; aupair-world.net . It's basically a dating profile (hahaha) but thats the best way I can describe it. You choose what countries you're interested in pursuing, the age of the children, how many children you're willing to take care of, ext. and then it all goes into your profile so families can search and find you based off that! You then write a lot in your profile section; basic things like who you are, what type of person you are, what you like, if you're in school or what you're doing with your time, if you've had experience with kids before...the whole shebang. You pretty much are selling yourself here to these families; ie. the dating site comparison.

2) Now you choose a family!
So just like families can find you, you can find them through the same search criteria. When I was applying, I was very eager so I mainly applied to families in the beginning; I didn't really wait for them to come to me. What was shocking was, even with the time difference, I heard back from three separate families in the first 5 hours or so! After a few days, the offers were coming in, it was crazy!! Maybe its just because I'm such a cutie ;)........but realistically, thats really just how high in demand au pairs are! So if you are really interested, I'm telling you, you're practically guranteed a job. So, after you talk back and forth between a few families you really like through the website, you then set up a time to video chat them through Skype (Skype is a must!) so they can talk to you in person (sorta) and mainly to see that you're real and yeah. During my time, I had almost 20 families request me, but I only was down to 3 to choose from to the point where I actually wanted to Skype them. After skyping the families, I immediately knew which one I wanted to be with. Video chatting is SO important because you can really get a feel for these people and see if you would enjoy your time with them. The other families were very sweet and nice, but I chose the family I will be joining now because we instantly clicked and were laughing so hard by the end of the interview. I absolutely love them, they share the exact same personality as me, and I am so grateful to have found them. Remember! You're living with these people and spending pretty much all of your time with them, you want to make sure they're the right ones for you!

3) Set up a date for your arrival, and discuss contract
I'm sure au pair in america has this same thing, but for aupair-world, there was a contract that was already set up through the website that you and the family fill out together. Also, before I forget, when you sign up, in addition to listing where you want to go, you also list for how long. Many people do 3 months because they do it for summer, plus you don't need a visa for a country if you are traveling there for less than 3 months (important to remember!!! no need to go through the painful visa process if you don't need to!) but I put 1 year because I want to travel for a long time and just have fun for awhile since I'm freshly graduated from college; I gots no where to be! The world is literally my oyster ;P. As for the contract, its sooo easy, its like a single page. The family fills out mainly everything because they have to put their address, what they will pay you, what they expect from you, how long they expect you to stay (also for aupair-world, in the contract it is stated that an au pair can leave anytime they wish-say you ended up not liking it-so no need to feel like you're trapped!) and thats pretty much it. I had to just put where I was born, my address, and sign it lmao. Also- we decided that we would Fed-Ex the copies of the contract to each other to have fresh signatures just so we wouldn't have any problems with the Consulate (Consulate of Spain in D.C.) being picky about fresh documents. You want to make sure you each have a copy of the contract, as well as one for your visa application form if you do end up applying for one.

4) Collect everything you need for the visa (the most painful part)
Skip this part if you want to travel for less than 3 months since you don't need a visa; otherwise, you better sit down, because this my friends, is a rough ride. Now, it doesn't seem like much at first, but once you take processing time, and time differences, getting some of these things can be a real pain in the arse. Because I live in Maryland, for some reason I am only able to get a student or work visa, whereas in a few states you can an actual Au Pair visa. They have all this information on the aupair-world website, just click under the "for au-pairs section". I imagine obtaining an au pair visa is easier than a student one, but who knows, getting a visa is worse than going to the DMV.

For a student visa you need:
  • Visa application form signed out (this was easy to find, the link was on the aupair-world website, but you just look at any embassy/consulate website for any country here in the U.S. to find it)
  • Your passport, the original and a copy of it
  • 1 recent passport size photo (you can get this done at any CVS)
  • Letter from your guardian saying that they will financially support you (even though in reality you're being paid to be an au pair, plus you live with them so you really don't support yourself, but whatever, you need it)
  • Letter from your school saying you have been accepted, with it showing how long you will be attending and you have to take 20 hours of classes per week AT LEAST. This was hard to get because what school states the hours on an acceptance letter? I just brought in my receipts from the classes and forced them to accept it pretty much, it honestly just depends on who you get to help you, some people are more of sticklers than others. This is also sucky because you have to pretty much be a full-time student just to be there legally. I'm just taking normal language classes just for the visa, plus it'll just make my Spanish even better; hey, it never hurts to be bilingual. Also, this is for Spain at least, the school has to be certified by this certain thing for it to be good, but my family knew exactly what I meant and its pretty much any real establishment. I'm pretty much going to their community college even though it is a literal castle (I love Europe)
  • Cash of exactly $160.00 to pay for the application to be processed (all for literally a Spanish passport looking sticker in my passport... -.-)
  • Police Record, and a stamp of approval on it from the Department of Security (I think thats it, but now I barely remember, but they had the info at the consulate for me). Okay so on the visa website it never says anything about the stamp, which is BS, but you need it if you're in the DMV region because you're stuck going to the DC consulate and they need it. Getting police records is easy, I just looked it up online and looked for nearest police stations that handle them and it was a simply process. Getting the same literally took 10 seconds, but I had to go all the way to effing Annapolis, which is NOT close to DC, to get the Department of Security to stamp it with this huge gold sticker. They will only accept your police record if you have the damn sticker, so if you're not from the east coast, I would advise trying to call ahead to see if you need it on yours.
  • Last but not least, a doctors note specifically stating you are of sound mind, and sound body to travel and they give their approval.
  • *You can also bring a prepaid document envelope with your address on it for the Consulate to send you your passport, as opposed to you having to come back to pick it up, but make sure you factor in extra time for it to be delivered. I just went back and got it because I already cut it close and I didn't want to worry about it taking long to deliver or getting lost.
*The visa takes about 3-4 weeks (if its around the holidays, longer obviously) to process, so also prepare for this; you don't just get it once you hand them all the above requirements*

**also, they will tell you this, and they will give at least the doctors note to you because they don't keep the original copy of the police record in the initial process; but you you need to take with you the original copy of the doctors note that your doctor and the consulate signed and stamped for you, as well as the original copy of the police record with the gold stamp on it, with you to wherever you're traveling in order to show (alongside your passport with the visa in it) at a police station once you get there in exchange for your student ID card; thats pretty much your visa after the fact, you don't really need to carry your passport around with you to prove you're there legally after you get that card**

I know it looks like a lot, and it is, so give yourself a solid 4 if not 5 months+ to get all these things ready and prepared. Mainly applying to the school and hearing back from them was the hardest because it takes a long time, plus european school online portals are different from college here, plus its all in a different language and though google chrome translate can help, its not easy. Additionally, my login and password kept messing up for the school so I had to email this woman back and forth and get like 5 different logins before it worked. But honestly my experience has been a semi-horror story, but I know others whose process went smoothly and it was fine. At least you know you'll be able to pull through, no matter what struggles the process throws ya because if my anxious self can do it, anyone can. Also with he blog post, you get to know all the secret stuff to do and how to make the process even easier because obviously the Consulates visa requirements we're not nearly in depth enough, so, you're welcome ;P uwu

5) Now, you wait!
After you apply for your visa, you just kick back and relax until its done processing for roughly a month, and then you either wait for it to be delivered, or to go pick it up! Then its just a matter of time until you're packing all your bags and looking at how heavy everything is and thinking to yourself, what I'm about to do is crazy, but so much fun!
Here are some additional tips about getting ready to embark on your new adventure:
  • Less is more: seriously, maybe if you're only going for 3 months then this won't be such a challenge, but I'm going for at least a year! This means bringing all clothes for all types of seasons and weather. Plus, since I'm living there so long, I wanted to bring some things to make it my home. I wasn't lying when I said I packed my amiibos and super sonico figure lol! Duffle bags are your best friend, they're super lightweight and you can cram lots into them, but they're really only good for clothes because you know how airports are and they toss around your bag like how Nani tosses my salad. You're gonna want at least one solid and strong suitcase with hard sides to protect all your valuable items because they're less likely to get destroyed with all that protection. I donated a lot of my clothes as well as only packed my favorite items that I KNEW I would wear, so I wouldn't end up shlepping around more weight than I needed to. The rest is in storage at my parents house. I have one solid suitcase and one duffle bag for clothes and everything else I need and want to take, and its just enough. Remember I'm going for a year so if I can condense to that much, you definitely can do even less and you're not staying nearly as long. Plus remember to leave space cause you're gonna wanna buy clothes and stuff from wherever you're staying. I also have one travel backpack that I'm putting all my super valuables in to make sure they don't get lost/stolen/damaged (ie. laptop, iPod, iPad, medications (make sure to pack at least one month worth in your carry-on just in case they lose your bags, also if you're on a long flight, you'll need your med's at some point anyways), documents, passport, wallet, boarding passes, and anything else you can think of.
  • Be Organized: during the whole collection of requirements process and even afterwards, make sure you keep everything together! You need many things and they all take some time to get and hold a level of importance, so you really don't want to risk losing anything.
  • Save up lots of money: Even though I got a good amount of money because of college graduation (hey, its a big stepping stone) I still saved up lots of money from my catering job I maintained while being in school so that I would have a good amount of savings to use for travel or for any emergencies, even though I'm going to just try and only spend the money I earn from my au pair job because I personally would want a lot of savings when I eventually come back or move on from being an au pair.
  • Get a bank account for that country: They have a Santander bank branch here in MD, and since that is the bank in lots of places in Europe, I got one so that it won't charge me a lot to process money, and also to have a bank in Europe to deposit my payments into. You may have to wait till you get there to do this though if you don't have local branches in your area
  • Get a phone there, don't pay for an international plan: International plans are expensive and you shouldn't spend all that money to cling onto your phone from here. There are multiple phone companies in Europe and the eastern hemisphere, Vodafone for example, where you can get a new phone. Obviously I'm not sure what the phone plans are like there, but once I do know, I'll add it in here!
  • Bring presents for your new family!!: So as some of you who don't live in the U.S. know, its hard to get certain things from here. My family says that HBO and stuff doesn't work in Spain for some reason and its annoys them, so I got them all the seasons of Game of Thrones and The Wire on DVD because they really want to watch them and they were on sale. I also got children books in english for Maria, and I plan on getting all of them D.C./MD stuff because who doesn't like the classic touristy stuff.
Well as always, I hope you guys enjoyed!! Please tweet me or comment below if you have any more questions that you want to ask!
Love you guys and thanks for reading :)

Homemade Shrimp/Avocado/Cheese/Spinach Sandwich Recipe! :D
What You'll Need:
1 Avocado
2 slices of Pumpernickel Bread
1 tbsp of Chipotle Pepper Sandwich Spread
2 slices of Muenster Cheese
1 handful of Spinach
7 Shrimp

finished product :D
Hey guys! So after I got a lot of feedback from my twitter post about my lil creation here, I decided I would make a blog post about it so you guys could give it a try yourselves!

Here's all my ingredients that I used. I know a lot of my followers aren't from the U.S., and I'm not sure which products are distributed where so I'm refraining from using name brands but if you're really interested, just click on the picture because I'm sure you'll be able to read it; if not, just comment below or @ me on twitter and ask! :)

First, you're going to want to place the two slices of cheese on the two slices of bread like in the picture. Then pop them in the toaster oven to about 340 degrees F (171 C) for about 4-5 minutes.

While you're waiting for your bread to toast and your cheese to melt, spend your time prepping the other foods :) I start by cutting the avocado; first into halves and then those halves into halves, and so on. In the second picture you'll see how I cut them, and to get the avocado out I just kinda stick my thumb into the middle and pull outwards and the avocado just comes out from the skin, its pretty easy!

Once your toast and cheese is done, go ahead and place shrimp on a baking sheet like this and then pop those in the oven. I do this so the shrimp are nice and warm with everything else. I'm lazy so I buy pre-cooked shrimp and as long as they're eaten within a couple days, they taste just fine. But if you're particular, go out and buy some raw shrimp!

*a little tip- if you've never cooked shrimp before, a good way to know if they're done is when they're nice and pink and in the shape of a C (C-cooked, easy to remember!) and if they're in the shape of an O that means overcooked! (O-overcooked, very easy to remember :3)

Next, just slater on a knife full of chipotle pepper sandwich spread! It adds a nice spicy flavor to the sandwich but not like SPICY spicy. Kinda just tangy, it's good! trust me!

Once you put on the spread, just peel the avocados out like I mentioned before and lay them evenly on the sandwich. Now obviously I ran out of space and had to lay one on top, and it may not look as pretty but it works! You never really realize how much avocado is in an avocado until you try using a full on one sandwich >.< Today I tried adding a sprinkle of Old Bay on the shrimp but it honestly didn't make much of a difference because the chipotle pepper spread pretty much dominates your taste buds as is. Then, finally, just grab a little handful of baby spinach, and you're done!

tada! you're all done! \(^▽^)/

Hope you enjoy!

Cosmetics Review!

Today I wanted to give you guys a review on a couple cosmetics I picked up the other day at Sephora. Now I know things tend to be a lil pricey there, but I wanted to try nice makeup for once and see how I liked them :3

The first item is Hello Flawless! Oxygen Foundation. It's pretty nice, but in my opinion, not for the price. It $36.00 USD and to be frank, its like any normal foundation you can pick up from your local CVS. Another thing I'm not a huge fan of is that I cant use a makeup sponge with it. I like using sponges just cause they give even coverage and they make the makeup more evenly distributed so it just has an all around lighter feel. Apparently, this makeup is supposed also give a plumping effect to your face? I didn't even know that when I bought it, but apparently its supposed to; anyways, it doesn't really. Mainly it's just has both vitamin C and E oils to help hydrate your skin and prevent signs of aging, which may be nice but I'm only 21 and I don't get much sun so all of that isn't very important to me...yet, anyways!
Second item is High Beam by Benefit and omggg I LOVE this product. Its a highlighter and you only use a lil dab on your cheekbones and brows and it works SO well! You barely have to use any and theres so much so I know it'll last me so long, so I'm very happy about it. It is $26.00 USD, but honestly, for how well it works and how long it will probably last, the price is definitely worth it :)
So for the third product, I've actually been using this for a couple months but I just wanted to include it! This is Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector by Clinique, and I really like it and it does work, but the only downside is you have to use it once in the morning and once at night for any results, and even after that, it takes like 3 weeks to show. The cooling tip helps if you have really puffy eyes in the morning, but other than that, it's kind of an awkward applicator. I say this because it spreads around the product so much that it doesn't really help with actually rubbing in. The price is $49.50 USD online, but that doesn't seem right... from my memory, I remember it being around $35.00 or so. It works, but its kinda tedious and plus if you even stop for a little bit, you're right back to square one and I just don't see it as very worth the price.
Last and certainly not least, is the Make Up Forever, HD Powder. I've used this product before, just the loose powder rather than the pressed. I got the bigger size of it last time, and it lasted me nearly a year, even with it being a powder. I prefer loose powder in general to pressed, but I wasn't trying to break the bank so I decided to just get the small pressed powder that is usually found in the little stands near the checkout lines. I forget the price, and online it says the cheapest one is $22.00 which also doesnt seem right, but I know it was really cheap. I like this product cause its a good setting powder, plus it gives a nice sheen as well. It also lasts a really long time, so it's definitely a good investment! I would definitely recommend the large loose powder kind if you have the money for it, its around $50.00 USD or so.

Once again, thanks for reading you guys! If you have any recommendations for me, please let me know! :D

"How to get the "no makeup" look: just use these 27 different cosmetics!"
...excuse me...what?

So the other day something happened to me for the um-teenth time and it finally really started to bother me so I just wanted to make a post about it. So I pretty much never wear makeup anymore unless I'm going to work or going out during the weekends, and I've never felt weird about it or anything just because it's never crossed my mind. Anyways, a friend of mine in class the other day saw me walk into class and immediately said "what's wrong with you?" and at first I was like wait, what, what's happening? until she then obviously saw my confused expression to then she further elaborate that my face looked pretty red and I had bags under my eyes, so she was wondering if I was sick.

And I was just like "..uh...no...just not wearing makeup" to which I awkwardly laughed and explained that because I'm both Irish & Scottish, I was pretty destined to be pale and blotchy. Also, here in the east coast of the U.S., we've been getting pretty cold weather and super bad wind chills, and its all just made going outdoors even more of a struggle. Anyways, because of the windchill, my already pale and blotchy complexion was more red due to being wind bitten because the weather was extra terrible that day; and I found myself explaining that as well to my friend.
As I was sitting there, it kinda struck me that I was automatically giving all these logical reasons why I was so "sick" looking, and that I felt the need to defend myself. I'm not sure if it was insecurity, since I don't really have an issue with not wearing makeup, but it was kinda crazy how I felt had to explain why my body looked...normal, I guess?
I don't know, it just really bothered me. Not that I'm saying I'm tooting my own horn for not wearing makeup, or I'm against girls who wear makeup, but damn, I mean women pay money for blush...yet here I am with my naturally rosy cheeks and I look sick? Major yikes.

All I'm saying is people, not only should you watch what you say when it comes to commenting on someone's appearance, but also you shouldn't feel the way I felt and don't let others make you feel weird for showing your acne, or flushed cheeks, or anything really, in public. It's cool if you like wearing makeup just cause it's fun and pretty, or cause it helps your esteem, or whatever, do that all ya want girls! but just don't feel ashamed for showing your bare face either! (っ˘ω˘ς )♡♡♡

Konbanwa mina ヽ(o^―^o)ノ!

Today I wanted to make a post to let you guys know a little bit more about me and some of my favorite things/hobbies :3. I've been pretty active in the anitwitter community for a little over a year now, and I know some of you guys have been following me for quite sometime now (thanks!!) and you've probably picked up things here and there about what I like or what type of person I am, but I just kinda wanted to make a post all about me and what I'm interested in and yeah! If you like any of the same things, plz don't be shy and tweet me/DM me and we can talk about it! Seriously, I would love to, and I always respond!

So as you may or may not know, I'm a senior in college (thank god!) and I'm getting ready to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology! This year I've been conducting video game research and since it still in the process of being completed, I can't talk too much about what we're testing, but it's really cool and interesting and we have been contacted to be published in SCIENCE magazine for it and thats a pretty big deal! So its very cool. Videogame research is a very novel field and pays well, so if you think you may be interested in that (I know some a lot of my followers are still in high school or early in their college careers) you should definitely look into it!! It's been super fun and very fulfilling. Its like they say, "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life!"

Once I graduate, I'm moving to Spain (in June) to be an Au Pair for this super amazing wonderful family who I click well with so much it makes me wanna cry how amazing it all is. I will be studying there in order to fill requirements for my dang visa (which, by the way, is one heck of a process! if you ever are applying for a visa, 1) it takes 3 months to process and 2) its taken me a month just to get everything together to even apply! ugh! almost over though ( ◡‿◡ ♡) ) in addition to working as an Au Pair by teaching this beautiful little 3 year old girl english!

Wow! Sry thats such a long background, but hey! now ya know more about me ;P

Onto whats featured in the picture up-top! So the first thing is collecting anime figmas/statues/nendoroids. It's quite the expensive hobby, so make sure you're patient with collecting or otherwise you'll go broke! I own the three that are pictured, as well as many others (I've posted them on twitter before so you may have seen them) and I love them so so much. I'm seriously gonna miss them so much while I'm in Spain *cries*. Speaking of missing things, the nest on my list is my xbox one! Now I KNOW, the whole debacle of the console wars and I don't wanna hear anything from PS4 owners. I love my xbox and idk what I'm going to do without all my videogames and the access to crunchyroll/hbo go/netflix it provides...sigh. Just a heads up, I'm moving in with this family in Spain so I have to pack lightly, so I can't be my dumb otaku self there. But! I will have my ipad/laptop with me, so I'll still be able to enjoy the third thing on my list which is my crunchyroll subscription. Now I only have the sub because of the fact I also buy figmas and such through crunchyroll and you get deals on them with your sub and what not, but I also enjoy the convenience of the website. You can also catch me on kissanime too because that website is equally as awesome and has a wider array of anime to watch.

The fourth thing on my list is a pitbull puppy and thats because I have a pit/lab mix puppy named Koda and hes so crazy and sweet and I love him to death because he seriously is like my son. The next thing is Studio Ghibli! Not only are the films fantastic and all hand drawn, the stories have been a part of my life since my childhood and each movie has great morals and lessons tied into them and they're just all around beautiful creations; s/o to Miyazaki for being the best out there! Also, fun fact! When I was a junior in high school, I got the SG emblem (the profile of totoro) on the middle of my upper back and its about the size of a post it note and its so perfect because either no one gets what it is, but when they DO its MAGICAL because they're so stoked about it and I end up gushing over Studio Ghibli movies with complete strangers for like 20 minutes and its the best. My top 3 that have come out of SG are 1) Spirited Away 2) Howls Moving Castle and 3) Whisper of the Heart!

The sixth thing are just cute plushies in general, but especially alpacasso. I'm waiting to order the blue one thats pictured because its out of stock currently because I rly want it to take with me when I move to Spain to keep a lil of my kawaii self with me but also to have someone keep me company at night as I start a new chapter in my life. Next up is a nintendo 3DS with the games Animal Crossing, ORAS, and Majoras Mask. Out of those three, Animal Crossing is my absolute favorite! Its such a cute little game and theres always things to do, and its great for anxiety because you can take the game at whatever pace you like and theres so many calming things you can do like gardening, fishing, ext. Its also great for anxiety because you can play it a lil bit each day since the time lapse in the game is the same as irl, so it gives you that sense of being productive even if its just a little bit in a game :) Up next is my phone and laptop, ya know, I practically live online so I love my lil gadgets.

Then theres traveling and the travel bag I RLY want, but from what I remember its kinda expensive so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it. As I've mentioned a million times already, I'm beginning the travel section of my life in just a couple months, cause once I move to Spain, I plan on traveling throughout Europe on the weekends and breaks to really broaden my horizons! I love learning new things, especially new things about different cultures, so I can't wait to take it all in.

Ah yes, the best part of all, my favorite foods. Who could go wrong with pizza, sushi, and a chipotle burrito? Imagine if I ate just those three things in one day, I would probably go into a comatose, but how lovely would it be? My favorite pizzas are green pepper pizza or hawaiian pizza. A lot of ppl talk down hawaiian pizza but like..HAVE YOU TRIED IT? Its like the perfect amount of sweetness of cheese and fruit and meat I feel like Ratatouille in that one scene where he eats a grape with cheese at the same time.

Last, AND CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, is my one and only bae, Kankei Ken. Yes, he is the main character in Tokyo Ghoul and yeah some ppl say the anime is over hyped, which maybe I can agree with to a point (but tbh if its not hyped to Attack on Titan level, is it even rly worth the notion of saying its overhyped?), but I'm totally in love with him and he's my favorite. It's funny because I actually completely hated him all season one because he was such a baby and annoying, but episode 12 changed me completely and now that Root A is airing right now, I can barely wait for every thursday to arrive. I just love his character development and how damaged and powerful he is, but hopefully he'll get it together soon enough. I've started to read the manga which I'm equally excited about because everyone says the manga is way better, especially when it comes to everyones favorite, Tsukiyama, so yeah! I'll probably post about it once I finish it since I read that the final manga chapter was released kinda recently so its now over, manga wise, so I can read it all the way through (correct me if I'm wrong). I rly want the hardcopies of the english version of the manga, but they're not going to be coming out for awhile which is sad because once they do come out, I'll be in Spain so I'm not rly sure what I'll do! Maybe I'll be able to get them online or something...wherever theres a will, theres a way!

So yeah! That was quite the read right? But now you know a lot about me! Like I said, if you see that we have any common interests, don't be shy and tweet me about it and we can gush over whatever it is that we both like ( ˘⌣˘)♡(˘⌣˘ )

Like always, thanks for reading! It makes me rly happy to see you guys favoriting this or retweeting it and it makes me fall even deeper in love with every one of you guys!!

Majoras Mask Review!

Tonight, as I sit at home cuddled up in blankets with tea as I avoid this awful winter weather the east coast of the US is being hit with, I'm going to review the new 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda series, Majora's Mask!

~also, I have a cold so pour a lil one for a homie here~

Okay so, let me start off with the fact that I did play The Legend of Zelda series as a kid, but not nearly as much as some of you, and I had completely forgotten pretty much everything about the game. I recommend if youre the same, you should play Ocarina of Time (the prequel to Majoras Mask, right? yeah?) just because Majora's Mask pretty much picks up where that game left off. You don't necessarily need to do it, but I felt almost weird playing this game because theres so many references to OoT that I only semi-understood between what I've seen on the internet, and playing the game a million years ago when I was a child (yeah, I'm a million and a half years old). Overall the game is really fun and you definitely get sucked in quickly (i played for 6 hours straight the first day and didnt even realize) but it's definitely not crazy amazing or anything in my opinion.

Honestly, if you have anxiety this game is notttt for you. I literally have the craziest anxiety and it makes me insane, like, 85% of the time, and this game is all based on one giant countdown of 3 days but in real time thats like 9 hours of game play and imo its stressful as heck. Like you'll be playing and the screen will start caving in on itself as each day ends and pretty much if you run out of time you have to start over. You can play the inverted song of time or whatever on your ocarina to slow down the time lapse, and then you can save and use another song to restart the 3 day time period so you technically continue to play but the countdown thing restarts and ugh tbh its just stressful to do, especially when you're new to the world of LoZ.

Another thing that pisses me off is like with every thing you have to do, theres a thousand mini things within each of those objectives and they all take SO LONG to complete, and you can't just save whenever, you have to save at certain checkpoints or use the song of soaring to go to a checkpoint which sucks because either a) you have to continue with the game against your will just to finish this part because youre so deep into it or b) you fly back to a checkpoint to save but then you have to backtrack for flipping ever just to get back where you were, and god forbid you mess up once (like missing a landing and falling off for instance) cause then you have to start over AGAIN and ugh, I still haven't touched the game since the release last friday because I was so frustrated with it.

One thing I wish they would have done is given you time to explore the city and gather all the items, without being introduced to the main storyline yet with the whole 3 day countdown, because in the town you can get a lot of stuff that makes the game easier (like masks and such) that you dont necessarily need to get to progress with the game. Like I said, its easy because you can just play a song and restart the time countdown whenever you want so technically the countdown isn't a real issue, but it bugs me that its constantly happening, meanwhile youre getting bombarded with notifications like "omg dude theres only like acouple hrs left of day time" and you can just see on your screen the time getting lost and ugh, literally like I said, if you have anxiety or get stressed easily, maybe you should just avoid this game.

It reminds me of those creppy online tests you have to take in college on blackboard that usually has a time limit, and as youre answering questions, the time lapse bar is at the top, slowly diminishing, and youre just like argh frick times a-runnin out, so you rush and flip out and like in the end you have SO much time left and youre just like fbw45iubfo0ou';l,hk

Idk.

It's a fun game, I just cannot stand the countdown thing, I feel like I have to rush rather than just enjoy the game. Why can't it be like pokemon where I can just twiddle my thumbs while talking to every person in town hoping for a berry or some random TM I know I'll never use?

Pray for me if I ever do pick up this game again, and I know I will because my butt doesn't spend good money on something I don't even finish. This will be like Gurren Lagann and I will fight to finish it despite it taking me within an inch of my life to do so!

So thats it for tonight!

Love u guys~

Winter Anime~

So I know a lot of people are keeping up with some more than others, but heres the list of what I'm keeping up with this season as well as the ones I dropped:

Keeping Up:
1) Parasyte -the maxim-
2) Your Lie in April
3) Durarara x2
4) Aldnoah.Zero
5) Yowamushi Pedal
6) Kuroko's Basketball
7) Tokyo Ghoul
8) Death Parade

So all of these anime are amazing, especially Parasyte which is a top notch anime IMO. If you want gore/fighting/both you should 100% watch Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul ~also watch TG for Kankei *swoons*~ Durarara is one of those anime which I'm not sure what catagory it falls into but its just so interesting and awesome, its all about gangs and mystic legends within Tokyo and its just banging. Plus the crew is so cool, I wanna be a part of it and eat a hot pot with them .。・゚゚・(>_<)・゚゚・。.! Both Yowamushi Pedal and Kuroko's Basketball are A1 sports anime, and I've never watched sports anime or really been interested in pursuing them, but these two have sucked me in and theyre so crazy, they make sports seem like you have magical powers or something of the sort. Aldnoah Zero is a cool mecha, and tbh I watch it mainly for the action, the storyline is okay, as well as the characters; still something you should watch though, especially if youre into mecha!
I JUST caught up on Death Parade last week and a lot of people sleep on it so thats why I'm giving a good explanation of it. The opener makes me so happy and the anime is just starting to get really interesting with character development, but it also has a strong basis of the anime; it focuses on this purgatory state you wind up in after you die, and you play a game to either enter heaven or hell. AT FIRST, this anime seems like its gonna be gory but tbh this anime has a shocking amount of feels and oddly enough it almost strikes me in a feel-good way? even though its about death? and don't get me wrong, there are some really messed up parts and it goes 0-100 in a second. Overall it has a great pacing between character development and story progression, as well as good balance between all the emotions it evokes, so its probably my favorite one of the winter season.

Dropped:
1) Saekano -How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend-
2) Cute High Defense Club LOVE!
3) Gourmet Girl Graffiti

Yo, all of these anime I dropped after the first like..2 episodes. I tried to give them a chance but theyre such the type of anime that arent created for the story, but more to fit the appeal of what people want and they just suck. Boring Girlfriend is just how it sounds, its boring and too much fanservice, plus they make pretty much all the girls dumb and I personally can't STAND those types, so this anime was just not for me. Cute High started off cute but the story is so boring and repetitive, like some kid at their school is mad and hates the world and then becomes some ridiculous monster that the ONE blondie of the crew stops almost immediately with the power of love and ugh, so lame. Honestly people must only watch it cause of the cute guys. Gourmet Girl looked really cute, but its overly sexualizing extremely underage girls eating food like I literally feel like I'm watching porn when I watch it, and I'm not some 17 year old weeaboo boy who jacks off to egirls so I was definitely over it. Sorry if you like these and you see me trashing them, but you gotta agree these are anime made to cater, not to be of any substance.

Welp, thats my thoughts on this seasons anime! feel free to comment below and lmk what you think are the best!

A couple weeks ago I bought a few things online, so here's my review and links of where to find the items!

Milky iPhone 5S Case
So this is my new phone case that I love oh so so much, and its from inu-inu and its seriously perfect. It has a nice feel and what I like about it best is the fact the white doesn't discolor quickly. I've had neko cases before and they were white and I swear the case discolored in a week and a half and I was so disappointed, so I'm super glad of the high quality of this case! The one thing I will say is its kinda prone to scratches, but thats all cases really (I mean, their whole purpose is so you don't get scratches on your phone but I'm anal about these things). Overall, its super cute and I'd give it a 10/10!
Anime Texting Tee
This tee is also from inu-inu. I'm really tall (6ft!) so I figured I would get a medium in this shirt because of my super long waist. Though, when I got it in the mail, it was huge! It was very baggy and very long, it went past the bottom of my front pockets on my jeans (if that gives you any clue). I was really worried about it and it did pass my mind to send it back to get a small, but I was too lazy to do it. But thank god I didn't! When I washed it, it shrank so much, practically to the perfect size I was hoping for in the first place. now it hangs just a little over the top seam of my jeans which is great, and its not as wide. SO! If you're thinking about buying it, keep in mind that it does shrink quiet dramatically! Its stil v cute and I have gotten many compliments, so if you like it, I say go for it!

Atashi Acrylic Phone Charm
This is my beautiful little Atashi from Chobits phone charm and its so cute and perfect I absolutely love it! Its from HideAwayMelon's etsy shop and its just one of many phone charms I want! Its acrylic so its a really nice material because it stays looking perf and nice despite you ((me)) throwing your phone around all the time, plus it has a little bell thats really charming and a nice touch; so if youre looking for affordably priced anime related phone charms, her etsy shop is the place to do it!
NYAN Cyber Mike Silicone 3DS XL COVER
I got this lil cutie simply on amazon, there are so many colors and choices to choose from, so if this is something you've been looking for, you'll definitely have a lot of options! I really like this case, its really cute, but the one thing that annoys me is the silicone texture; and ONLY cause I have a pet puppy who has black fur and it attaches to this thing like metal to a magnet, and its really annoying to get the hairs off because of the static. Also, the silicone can move around a bit, but I only notice because I'm very anal and particular about my things, so to most people it'd be no biggie. I was concerned about the straps possibly being annoying because once you open up your DS they aren't stretched out anymore and I thought they would be bulky but even my anal self doesn't even notice them so ya!

So there's my review on a couple things! Hope you maybe found a few things you liked! ♡~ <( ̄︶ ̄)> ~

So I figured I would just jump right into this blogspot thing and try my best, to anyone who took the time to read this, thanks! I plan to post cute things I buy and my reviews of them, maybe you can get the same stuff and we can match? that'd be cute I think
( ◡‿◡ ♡).

I'm also gonna post about the anime I'm currently keeping up with and my reviews/thoughts on episodes, so feel free to comment to let me know what you thought, and I hope I bring some new anime to the table for you guys to check out!
